In the early hours of November 6, following a crucial win in Pennsylvania and a lead in Wisconsin, the Republican nominee declared victory in a 26-minute address. “I want to thank the American people for the extraordinary honor of being elected your 47th president, as well as your 45th president,” Trump said during a speech at his Florida watch party. The Associated Press officially confirmed his victory hours later, after his triumph in Wisconsin.
By November 7, Trump had secured 295 electoral votes, surpassing Democratic nominee Kamala Harris’ 226. While results were still pending in Arizona and Nevada, Trump had already crossed the 270-vote threshold needed for reelection. Over 72 million Americans cast their votes in his favor.
In his victory speech, Trump reaffirmed key points of his platform, including immigration reform, increasing U.S. energy production, reducing taxes and the national debt, and advocating for an “America First” agenda.

He also called for unity across the nation.
The president-elect expressed gratitude to several individuals during his speech, including his wife, Melania Trump, and their children. He also thanked his running mate, JD Vance, and his wife, Usha Vance; campaign managers Susie Wiles and Chris LaCivita; and notable supporters like billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk and UFC CEO Dana White. Additionally, Trump suggested that former 2024 presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. would play a role in his upcoming administration, saying, “He’s going to help make America healthy again.”
