Instagram surprised us
Instagram user activity peaks at 3-4 AM on Sundays (because of global interactions), also Instagram posts on Tuesdays received the best engagement, and primetime on Wednesdays 10-11 pm.
Brands should focus to post between 10 am and 7 pm. Focus on 11 am – 1 pm on received comments for conversation. Instagrammers are most active between 4 pm and 6 pm.
Facebook as we know it
Facebook’s sweet spot for engagement is on Thursdays, 9-10 am and showed weekends lower engagement. Wednesday is the day when most people get active.
Brands should focus to publish between 9 am and 2 pm the get most interactions. When brands focus on office hours they miss their audience in the evening for interaction. The Facebook audience is most active between 8 pm and 9 pm.
Over the whole day between 10 am – 11 pm 200,00 interactions have been registered.
Twitter the business horse
The most rewarding time for brands to post on Twitter is between 11 AM and noon. While we can see the community is most active on Tuesday for interactions we recognize also the trend on Wednesday.
Reading through the findings reflects again the audience type which we can find on all our social channels. We are aware that our Instagram audience user group is younger while our baby boomer generation is focused on Facebook. Twitter is very efficient when it comes to business messaging or a shootout of business news. Good to know for our targeted marketing activities.
