This is wonderful info. I agree that we need to start early, and also around the holidays people look to compelling stories that have a feel-good atmosphere but also tug at your heartstrings, so to speak, so incorporating those lessons are very valuable for every company and entrepreneur.
Thank you for this post! 🙂 I had not realized that so many people do their holiday shopping in October. I appreciate your detailed post, and I love the infographic representation!
It’s good to know that I still have until early December to advertise.

These are awesome tips. I love the infographics!
Wow I am loving the infographic here, I need to save this and read again from my computer once I get home. I totally agree with you on marketing strategies during holidays are important and when you do it right it works well. Targeting audience through social media is a huge one
Great collection of tactics. One thing I would add is consider what your client celebrates. We have a client that has a huge Christian audience and they got outraged last year by an email that said, “Happy Holidays” instead of Merry Christmas. I think it’s silly considering if you celebrate Christmas happy holidays is still politically correct because there is also new years and thanksgiving but the client got tons of emails saying stuff like “I celebrate Christmas and if you don’t…” It was shocking and off-putting. But on the other side you may upset people who don’t celebrate with Merry Christmas. I worked at another company where they actively kept track of who needed what type of holiday card, it was more work but greatly appreciated.
This is awesome advice, thank you!
