Stories, an ephemeral medium – they disappear after 24 hours – has become popular among audiences and brands alike.

The Rise of Instagram Stories can be seen in the numbers, one-third of the most-viewed Stories are by businesses, and 96% of marketers who use Story ads intend to continue using them, according to Instagram data.

The latest stats available for Instagram were pulled in June 2018. These are still current for 2019. The number of daily Stories was 400 million, as per the information from 99firms.com.

The question remains, what marketers are saying? Businesses are seeing results on Instagram, specifically with story ads. And, as a result, they’re sharing stories more and more. By seeing the numbers we can learn from our counterparts.

  • 72% of businesses have gotten a NEW CUSTOMER from their brand’s Instagram account.
  • 74% of marketers post at least 2 VIDEOS on Instagram Stories a month.
  • 62% of businesses say an Instagram Story prompted a DIRECT MESSAGE from a customer.
  • 70% of marketers post to Instagram Stories ONCE A WEEK or more.

Tips for Standing Out in Stories
